More pictures of the trip to China have been exposed.

After discontinuing production in the United States for the 2020 model year, the Dodge Tour is back. Well, kind of. Last week, the new 2022 Dodge Journey went into production, but it was not made for the American market.

Although there are rumors that the next-generation model is being developed based on the same platform as the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the 2022 Dodge Tour is a relabeled version of the Trumpchi GS5 SUV sold in China. GAC Automobile will cooperate with Stellattis to export Journey to the Mexican market. Now, Stellattis has revealed the specifications of Mexico's reborn Dodge Tour.

Compared with Trumpchi GS5, 2022 Dodge Journey has a larger grille and bright black finish, which makes it look more premium. It is also equipped with LED headlights and 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels, depending on the decoration.

Under the hood, the 2022 Dodge Tour is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharger rated at 169 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. MacPherson independent front suspension and multi-link independent rear suspension ensure smooth driving even on rough roads.

In Mexico, 2022 Dodge Journey will provide three decorations: SXT, Sport and GT. As a standard configuration, SXT and Sport interiors include analog instrument panels and 7-inch LCD digital information screens, while GT interiors are equipped with 12.3-inch digital instrument panels. An 8-inch central touch screen infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is standard for all interiors.

Sport and GT accessories come with a 360-degree camera. In Mexico, the SXT version of the 2022 Dodge Tour starts at 555,900 pesos (27,075 USD), the sports version starts at 615,900 pesos (29,997 USD), and the GT starts at 645,900 pesos (31,458 USD). 2022 Dodge Journey sales will begin at the end of October.
